Amanda is a Legal Assistant and Paralegal supporting Simopoulos Law’s civil rights, education, and employment practice. She is especially drawn to the firm’s mission of defending the rights of employees, students, and others facing powerful institutions.

Prior to Simopoulos Law, Amanda volunteered with Rise Up Federal Workers Legal Defense Network, providing intake for individuals seeking pro bono employment consultation. She also volunteered as a notary at Greater Richmond Bar Foundation’s Wills Clinics, assisting with the execution of wills, advance medical directives, and powers of attorney.

Amanda earned her A.A.S. from Reynolds Community College, cum laude, and Paralegal Certificate from George Mason University. She is pursuing a B.A. in History and Political Science and is a commissioned Virginia Notary Public and Electronic Notary.

Amanda is a member of the Commonwealth of Virginia Paralegal Association and a legal staff member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. She serves on the National Lawyers Guild Labor & Employment Committee, where she assisted with a U.S. Supreme Court amicus brief for Department of Labor v. Sun Valley Orchards, LLC.

Amanda enjoys language-learning, film, calligraphy, and gardening, with a particular interest in how art, language, and advocacy help people understand the world around them.
